FN ELITY®
The FN Elity® is compatible with every small arms caliber weapon (up to 12.7x99mm/.50 cal) equipped with a Picatinny type rail. It can also be mounted onto sniper spotting scopes. Characteristics of the host platform are entered either in the Android app or directly in the FN Elity® settings.
In high power mode, the FN Elity® needs special precautions for use related to the class 3B laser. The FN Elity® lasers have a low power mode classified as class 1 (eye safe).
Only laser pointers are subject to class 3B, the laser range finder is only class 1 by design.
The FN Elity® is designed to avoid any undesirable manipulations involving a laser safety hazard. Furthermore, for use in training, the product features a mechanical switch between high and low power mode. It is also possible to limit/reduce the laser power output digitally from the FN Elity® settings.
Yes. To do so, it is important to correctly prepare the different configurations that are to be used with the FN Elity®. A very user-friendly Android app allows the user to create these configurations. There are several factors to enter in order to obtain the best results such as: weapon data (barrel length, caliber, barrel twist…), aiming system data, ammunition data. There is a preset ammunition library in the FN Elity® but the user can also create his own ballistic table with the app.
Yes. The FN Elity® has its own sensors for temperature, atmospheric pressure and humidity. It can also integrate data from a weather station via a Bluetooth connection. The user can then select what data from which device is to be used for the ballistic calculation.
No, there is no GPS module inside the FN Elity® due to security reasons. Nevertheless, the FN Elity® integrates a digital compass that indicates the azimuth of a target.
The ballistic solver uses AFS® technology from ApexO, expert in ballistic simulation. This ballistic algorithm takes into account more parameters than any other ballistic solver software. This solver combined with the range finder performance makes the FN Elity® the highest performing ballistic computer on the market.
No, the FN Elity® does not have ITAR or EAR constraints.
FN® FCU MK3
Yes, the FN® FCU Mk3 can be used on a multitude of low and medium velocity grenade launchers. This just requires specific firing tables according to the grenade and the launcher type used. Read Q&A no. 3 below for more details

Only laser pointers are subject to class 3B, the laser range finder is only class 1 by design.
The FN® FCU Mk3 is designed to avoid any undesirable manipulations involving a laser safety hazard. Furthermore, for use in training the product has a mechanical switch as well as a specific blue cable ensuring the lasers stay locked in class 1.
Absolutely, there is a firing table configuration software, which after simple training will allow the customer to create his own firing tables according to the grenade and the launcher type used.
No, the FN® FCU Mk3 does not have ITAR or EAR constraints.
